WANNA HOOKAH???

Comeon if you are in your teen years you will be lying if you don’t admit that you taken hookah or atleast had the thought of taking it…This is an article I read in a magazine. And here are somethings you foolish youngsters out there may not realize including foolish me

THE WORKINGS OF A HOOKAH
Hookah orginated in India and not the middle east for you info..and hookah flavours were introduced to attract more women to the habbit..So the workings of a hookah are very simple. Unlike a cigarette, in a hookah you do not inhale the tobacco directly. Basically the flavoured tobacco is seperated from the charcoalby a screen. When you inhale, the smoke from the heated charcoal passes through the tobacco gets filtered by the water and then pops out of your pipe and charcoal passed through the tobacco gets filtered by the water and then pops out of your pipe and mouth piece so that you can mke ringlets out of it to impress your friends. Now people believe that since the contact with tobacco is indirect there are no ill-effects and after you read what I have to say, you’ll realise that your life will go up in smokes if you don’t control your intakes.

WHAT DOES THE WATER FILTER OUT ZIZACKLY??
Regular hookah lovers believe that the water in the hookah filters all the bad stuff out. Which just goess to show that people will believe anything these days. Water is is prrimarily used to cool the smoke. It may filter out some stuff like the tar from the coal, but it keeps most of the nicotine/particulates intact.

SO LETS FIGURE OUT WHAT IS WRONG WITH A HOOKAH
A cigarette last for what 4mins?? A hookah however goes on like an energizer. On an average a hookah is consumed for two hours atleast. That is equivalent to smoking 30 cigarretes. If you dumb that down it still comes up to 20 cigarretes. Which is still acceptable if you are a chain smoker right?? Now for some myth busting. WHO advisory claims that a typical one hour session of hookah smoking exposes the user to 100 to 200 times the volume of smoke inhaled from a single cigarrete. Therefore one hour of hookah = 100 cigarettes.

How one cigarette reduces your life span by 7mins
Therefore,
100 cigarettes = 700minutes = 11 hours
Therefore,
One hour of hookah = 11 hours of your life.

Nicotine is addictive so do the math. It is quite possible to get hooked to hookah, never to be hooked again while the nicotine does its job of giving you cancer. And sharing a hookah mout piece can give you herpes..

Apart from nicotine, hookah smoke also contains high levels of carbon monoxide and the remainder of the tar that the water is unable to filter. According to wikipedia, “twenty two of twenty five cases of lung cancer in a study in India were among those who were regular hookah users.” Dude that’s just scary man, carbon monoxide is toxic to the human body whereas tar can put you at greater risk for heart disease.!!!

APART FOR ALL THAT A HOOKAH INCREASES THE RISK FOR:
-Cancer of the lung, mouth and larynx.
- Impotence….yes yes. You know whats keeping you boys down..!!
- Cardiovascular diseases.
It is safe to assume that smoking hookah is as bad as smoking cigarettes. If anything its even worst! Also there have been no formal studies conducted regarding the harmfull effects of inhaling the flavours that are used to make your hookah that extra yummy. So if you know whats good for you, you will limit your huffing and puffing to rare social situations or better still avoid it completely, for a hookah is not as safe as you think.

LET THE MADNESS BEGIN

I slice the blade through my skin
All the madness must begin
I cut away all my fears
Out of my eyes I bleed a few tears
I think of her and of you
Cant decide what to do
Hurt and pain is all I feel
All my scars will never heal
Cut so deep, reaching my heart
All the madness now must start
You went away, you didn’t care
I reach out, you’re not there
Why scream out, try not to cry
Screwed up life based on a lie
Make another, cut it deep
Slowly blood now seeps
Dripping dripping all around
Dripping dripping to the ground
Each drop represents me
All the pain whats meant to be
Please don’t cry its over now
It would have worked I’m sure somehow
So goodbye all , I love you friends
But all the madness now must end

My Childhood Memory

Hello people.

Hows it going?? Well I promise you no grumbling today! Ok maybe a little bit. . Yes I have excellent news. Its excellent news for me and it doesn’t effect you in any way but yes KETAN SIR IS BACK!!!. You heard me! he is back. YAY! Finally learning is going to be fun again and I wont have to put up with lame, cheesy and cheap humor in class. Finally!

I had a pretty average day today. You know another day same shit. :P .life is seriously failing to surprise me. Seriously come on a little spice wont hurt! Speaking of spice (yes I always need an excuse to speak about food) off late I have developed passion for cooking, yes yes masterchef Australia is rubbing off on me. MASTERCHEIF INDIA sucks. Seriously my mom cooks and invents better dishes than those idiots. Note to akshay kumar, Dude be a man, whats with the flowery shirts??! Yes back to what I was saying. I have developed a passion or cooking.  it all started with bread pudding.

Back when I was a kid , one day my aunt came home (there is a reason why I precisely remember this day) I was about say 8years old. And she got me a small steel tiffin. I thought to myself “that’s an odd gift for a 8 year old. I rather receive some toy or something”. She told me “I made something for you.” I was the baby elephant in the family, whenever anyone in my family cooked something I would be the 1st to taste it. That was the 1st time I tasted bread pudding. IT WAS AMAZING!!! Shortly after that my aunt shifted and I never got to taste it again.

Since I was 8, after I eat bread pudding I wanted more. I never really found it in a bakery. I asked my mom if she knew to make it. She said no! I asked my sisters if they know to make it. They said no! so I pretty much gave up and asked myself when will I get to eat bread pudding . 2months back it struck me and I found the answer. Yes I found the answer on google. :P I saved the recipe and thought to myself HEY I CAN MAKE BREAD PUDDING !! and I did. It turned out pretty decent considering it was the 1st time I baked anything also no one died of constipation! And the joy it gave me was immeasurable! The joy of eating it after 12years and the fact I baked it myself, was immense!

Now that I know I can bake decently I have been downloading recipes. So Christmas here I come with something made by me! never realized how much fun baking can be!!! Anyhoo if any of you have any special dessert that is linked to your childhood memory, how bread pudding is linked to mine. Feel free to leave a comment. Until next time.

Beautiful..

The Oxford Dictionary defines beautyas “the quality of being pleasing to the senses”. I think they have got it right but then why do people consider beauty as someone’s appearance…??

Growing up I was never one of the most beautiful or one of the most popular girls in school/college. I always considered myself as an average student with spectacles, dark in complexion, blessed with only decent height, broad shoulders and fat. I was never the girl who guys would ask out or someone who had a date every weekend. I was never the one to receive roses on rose day. I quite considered myself as someone who is not “BEAUTIFUL”.

I define beauty as something that is vain and can never last forever. A person is beautiful if they respect others feelings, who have their shortcomings in anger but yet know when to draw the line, who accepts you the way you are and who makes you feel good about yourself. Isn’t this what “pleasing to the senses” means?

How far is your appearance going to take you; your “so called” beauty that will fade with age? Is that something to be proud of??

I have this one friend who always tells me that I am beautiful. I kept thinking that he is lying because the mirror is evident to my beauty. One day I decided to confront him. I asked him my typical bhaigiri language. “Why do you say I’m beautiful when clearly I am not….channe ke jhaad par maat chada.” He simply said to me, “you are one of the most beautiful people I know. You see the best in me; you are my shoulder to cry on. You have the worst anger but that just shows how much you love me………. You are beautiful.” I thought to myself, damn, not only is this person praising the living daylights out of me but maybe he has a point, maybe there is more to life.

Looks can be deceiving, so before you judge someone on the basis on what they look like, let me warn you, you are in for a surprise.

I wrote this article with two perspectives in mind.

1. DON’T JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER
It has happened so many times that I have seen people and I make the assumption that this person “looks bad” or “just see the attitude” or “what a pain!!!” Without really knowing the person I judge the person on what they look like. But then when you actually get to know them it’s more like “I really like him/her we sooooo can be good friends” without really caring about what they look anymore. On the basis of appearance people judge if you are intelligent-dumb, innocent-corrupt, weak-strong, proud-humble or at times even a drunkard or a drug addict. I think that is said because I have come to realize that there is so much to a person than just the appearance. I hear people saying all the time looks don’t matter; so far whoever said this had turned out to be the biggest hypocrite. For me beauty does matter as long as there is more of it on the inside.

2. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF
Today standing tall I accept that maybe I am deficient in the “looks” department but I have enough confidence to get me through my day. No one can make me feel bad about myself except me. I am happy with the people who look and those who don’t can go and fly a kite for all I care. Each one is beautiful some even more than they can imagine. For all those people who put themselves and have been put down by others just believe in yourself. Like Nike and Adidas say “JUST DO IT…..IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING”. You are beautiful as long as you are a good person and have the right interest in mind. There is this quote from one of my favorite songs.

“You are beautiful, no matter what they say

Words won’t bring you down.

You are beautiful, in every single way

Words won’t bring you down”
